I document a wedding as it naturally unfolds, using a photojournalistic shooting style while always looking for the artistry in the moment. I have studied both fine art photography and photojournalism and use both disciplines when photographing a wedding. As an undergraduate at Cornell University I took my first formal photography class where the emphasis was on composition and artistic expression. I was enthralled! I have also studied photography at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, learning the nuances of photojournalism, honing my technical skills and focusing on the who, what, where and when that tells a story. I feel the combination of a photojournalistic approach with an artist's eye tells your wedding story well. As a professional photographer with over eight years of experience in the wedding industry, I understand the natural flow of a wedding and I offer a woman's perspective when shooting your joyful day.
